1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to STEAM Inventors Georgia, LLC ("STEAM Inventors," "Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at steaminventors.com, our educational programs, camps, classes, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing our website, enrolling a child in our programs, or communicating with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
If you are enrolling a minor (anyone under 18 years of age) in our programs, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian and have full authority to agree to these Terms on their behalf.
2. Our Services
STEAM Inventors provides STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education programs for children ages 3-16. Our programs include:
- iCanCode (Ages 3-5) – Screen-free computational thinking and CogAT preparation
- STEAM Belt (Ages 5-8) – Paper electronics and Marty robot programming
- Tech Belt (Ages 9-14) – LEGO Spike Prime robotics and FIRST LEGO League
- Advanced Computing (Ages 14+) – Full-stack development and AI ethics
- Spring Break & Summer STEM Camps – Intensive week-long programs
- Unleash the Genius – In-school partnership programs
All programs use a martial arts-inspired belt progression system with small class sizes (6:1 student-teacher ratio) and 90-minute sessions.
3. Registration & Enrollment
3.1 Eligibility
To enroll a child, you must be the parent or legal guardian, or have written authorization from the parent or legal guardian.
3.2 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as needed to keep it accurate.
3.3 Health & Safety Disclosure
You must disclose any relevant health conditions, allergies, learning differences, behavioral considerations, or special needs that may affect your child's participation. This information helps us provide the best possible experience and ensure safety.
3.4 Age Requirements
Children must meet the age requirements for their enrolled program. We reserve the right to assess and place students in appropriate programs based on skill level.
4. Payment Terms & Policies
Key Payment Terms
- Ongoing programs are billed weekly on a recurring basis
- 30-day written notice required to discontinue enrollment
- 3 absences per quarter are not charged (with 24-hour notice)
4.1 Ongoing Program Billing
Our regular programs (iCanCode, STEAM Belt, Tech Belt, Advanced Computing) operate on an ongoing, weekly billing basis:
- Tuition is charged weekly on a recurring basis to your payment method on file
- Enrollment continues automatically until you provide written notice of discontinuation
- Payment is due regardless of attendance, except as provided in our absence policy
4.2 Discontinuation Policy – 30-Day Notice Required
To discontinue enrollment, you must provide written notice at least 30 days in advance. You will be responsible for all charges during the 30-day notice period. Notice must be submitted via email to info@steaminventors.com. Verbal notice is not sufficient.
4.3 Absence Policy – 3 Per Quarter
We understand that absences happen. Our policy:
- You are allowed up to 3 absences per quarter without charge
- You must notify us at least 24 hours in advance to receive absence credit
- Absences beyond the 3 allowed per quarter will be charged at the regular weekly rate
- Unused absence credits do not roll over to the next quarter
- A quarter is defined as a 12-week period from your enrollment start date
4.4 Camp & Special Program Fees
Camps and special programs have separate payment terms:
- Camp fees are due in full at registration
- 14+ days before start: Full refund minus $25 administrative fee
- 7-13 days before start: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before start: No refund
- After camp begins: No refunds for missed days or early withdrawal
4.5 Late Payments
- If payment fails, we will retry within 3 business days
- After two failed attempts, enrollment may be suspended until payment is received
- A $10 late fee may apply to payments more than 7 days overdue
4.6 Scholarships
Scholarships may be available through our corporate partners. Recipients must comply with all program requirements. Misrepresentation may result in termination.
5. Photo, Video & Media Release
Important Notice
By enrolling your child, you grant permission for photography and video recording as described below. If you do NOT consent, you must notify us in writing at info@steaminventors.com before the program begins.
5.1 Grant of Permission
By enrolling your child in STEAM Inventors programs, you grant STEAM Inventors Georgia, LLC, its affiliates, partners, and authorized representatives the irrevocable right and permission to:
- Photograph, film, and record your child's image, likeness, voice, and participation
- Use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and publicly display such materials
- Use your child's first name and age in connection with such materials
5.2 Permitted Uses
Materials may be used for:
- Marketing and promotional materials (website, social media, brochures, ads)
- Educational and training purposes
- Internal documentation and program improvement
- Press releases and media coverage
- Fundraising, grant applications, and partner communications
5.3 No Compensation
No compensation will be provided for use of your child's image, likeness, or voice. You waive any right to inspect or approve finished materials.
5.4 Duration
This permission is granted in perpetuity and survives termination of enrollment.
5.5 Opting Out
To opt out, submit a written request to info@steaminventors.com before the first day of the program. We will make reasonable efforts to exclude your child, but cannot guarantee complete exclusion in group settings.
5.6 Social Media
We may share content on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other platforms. These platforms have their own privacy policies and terms.
6. Code of Conduct
6.1 Student Expectations
Students are expected to:
- Treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect
- Follow safety guidelines and instructions
- Handle equipment and materials responsibly
- Participate actively and positively in learning activities
- Maintain appropriate behavior during all program activities
6.2 Parent/Guardian Expectations
- Ensure timely drop-off and pick-up
- Communicate any concerns or changes in your child's needs
- Support the learning environment and program rules
- Maintain respectful communication with staff
6.3 Dismissal Policy
We reserve the right to dismiss any student whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with our program values. No refunds will be provided for dismissal due to behavioral issues.
7. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
7.1 Acknowledgment of Risk
You acknowledge that participation in STEAM Inventors programs involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Minor injuries from hands-on activities (cuts, scrapes, minor burns from soldering)
- Exposure to small parts and electronic components
- Physical activity during exercises and movement breaks
- Interaction with other children
7.2 Waiver and Release
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, waive, and discharge STEAM Inventors Georgia, LLC, its owners, officers, employees, instructors, volunteers, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to your child's participation in our programs, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
7.3 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless STEAM Inventors Georgia, LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your child's participation or your breach of these Terms.
7.4 Medical Authorization
In case of emergency, you authorize STEAM Inventors to seek emergency medical treatment for your child. You are responsible for any medical costs incurred.
8. Communications & SMS Messaging
8.1 Consent to Communications
By providing your contact information, you consent to receive communications from us via:
- Email (program updates, newsletters, promotional offers)
- Phone calls (urgent matters, follow-ups)
- SMS/Text messages (reminders, notifications, promotions)
8.2 SMS/Text Messaging
By opting in to text messages, you agree to receive recurring automated messages including:
- Class reminders and schedule changes
- Registration confirmations and payment reminders
- Emergency and safety notifications
- Promotional messages about programs and camps (if opted in)
Message frequency varies (approximately 2-10 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply.

8.3 Opting Out
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in emails, replying STOP to texts, or contacting us directly. Note: You will still receive transactional messages related to your enrollment.
9. Intellectual Property
All curriculum, materials, content, logos, trademarks, and intellectual property used in our programs are owned by STEAM Inventors Georgia, LLC or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
Projects and creations made by students belong to the students. However, we reserve the right to photograph and share images of student work for promotional purposes.
10. Website Use
10.1 Acceptable Use
When using our website, you agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Interfere with or disrupt the website or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access
- Collect information from the website without permission
10.2 Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
10.3 Disclaimer of Warranties
Our Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee specific educational outcomes.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our Services at any time for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Non-payment of fees
- Behavioral issues
- Any reason at our sole discretion with appropriate notice
Upon termination, all provisions that should survive (liability, indemnification, intellectual property) will remain in effect.
12. General Provisions
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Muscogee County, Georgia.
12.2 Modifications
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
12.3 Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
12.4 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any enrollment agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and STEAM Inventors.
12.5 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
