About Us
In the last 10 years technology and science evolved at an exponential rate. Remember even in 2010 Facebook was a trend, but now, augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, drones are used in real life every day. Think you are cutting edge? The future is already here. It is hard to keep up.
Our mission is to provide immersive STEAM learning experiences to students by engaging, connecting, innovation, and playing. STEAM Inventors is an after school STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Educational Service created for students from Pre-K to 12 to bridge that gap between current classroom and technology and science progression.
80% of the jobs in the next decade will require technology skills. Just in the USA alone there will be 1.2 million STEM jobs. Job openings in science, technology, doctors, software developers and engineers. Yet approximately only 16% of bachelor’s degrees specialize in STEM. 4 in 5 STEM college students decided to study STEM in high school or earlier and 1 in 5 STEM college students decided to study STEM in middle school or earlier.
Technology and science are progressing at a rapid pace, school curriculums for various reasons outside their control are struggling to not only get ahead of the next trends but simply to keep up with the current one. There is a huge gap between what children are learning at school now and what they need to learn in the future. Today the half-life of a job skill is roughly 5 years, for technical skills that is even shorter, lasting only two and half years. With 58% of the existing workforce already needing new skills to do their jobs, the speed of innovation is outpacing how quickly humans can learn the new technologies.
Our goal is to prepare the kids for the jobs of their future 21st century job skills require Expert Thinking – solving new problems for which there are no routine solutions – and Complex Communication – persuading, explaining, conveying a particular interpretation of information. Our goal is to provide an immersive, problem-based learning opportunity and environment for the students to be prepared for the future job market.
Vision
