Innovation Pathway

Our Innovation Pathway is an integrated STEAM and innovation program that combines Coding, Robotics, Engineering, AI, and Fun Science to provide a comprehensive educational experience that nurtures students’ creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This program integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) with cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) to engage students in hands-on learning activities that foster innovation and collaboration. Through coding exercises, robotics projects, engineering challenges, and exciting science experiments, students are encouraged to explore the interconnected nature of these disciplines while developing essential 21st-century skills. By immersing students in a dynamic learning environment emphasizing creativity and real-world application, this integrated STEAM and innovation program equips them with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in an ever-evolving technological landscape.

Our progression process through the program uses karate belt progression model. Each stage represents growth, creativity, and increased complexity, similar to a STEAM student’s journey.

Initial exploration; a newcomer to the world of STEAM.

The White Belt is the starting level for all karate students, symbolizing a blank slate or beginning. It represents the first steps in the journey of learning, where students are introduced to the basics of karate, including fundamental stances, punches, and kicks. In our program we introduce the students to the world of STEAM.

Laying down foundational knowledge; beginning to develop their foundational STEAM concepts.

As students progress to the Yellow Belt in Karate, they have demonstrated a basic understanding of karate techniques and are ready to build upon their foundational skills. The Yellow Belt often signifies the development of initial strength and coordination.

Introducing more intricate elements like basic programming and logical problem-solving.

The Orange Belt is a stage where students begin to refine their techniques and learn more complex combinations. It represents an increased commitment to the practice and an understanding of the basic principles of karate.

Delving into aesthetics alongside function, incorporating design principles in STEAM projects.

At the Green Belt level, students have developed a solid grasp of the fundamentals and begin to learn more advanced techniques. This belt signifies growth and the student’s dedication to deepening their karate practice.

Mastery over multiple STEAM domains, showcasing innovation and entrepreneurship in projects.

The Blue Belt is awarded to students who have shown proficiency in the techniques learned thus far and are continuing to advance their skills. It often represents maturity in the practice and the ability to perform more difficult kata or forms.

Representing the pinnacle of STEAM understanding, slowly mentoring others, and creating legendary projects.

The Purple Belt indicates that a student has reached a higher level of skill and understanding. Students at this level are refining their techniques and beginning to assist lower-ranked students in their practice.

At this level the students demonstrate understanding of very advanced concepts, e.z. AI/ML (age appropriate) and can apply the concepts appropriately without any guidance.

Brown Belt students are honing their skills and preparing for the level of Black Belt. They are expected to demonstrate a high degree of technical proficiency and are often leaders in their dojo.

Students who passes the black belt has mastered the concepts and exhibit the agility to become a life long learner. They demonstrated the ability to master new concepts by learning them independently. They are ready to be a mentor to the others.

Achieving a Black Belt is a significant milestone, representing expertise, discipline, and dedication. Black Belt students have mastered the karate curriculum and embody the spirit of the martial art. They may continue to learn advanced techniques and take on teaching roles.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do we meet with the students?

We meet once a week for 1.5 hrs.

Do the students go from one station to the other each day?

No, we follow a curriculum which exposes them to all the stations in a way so that it is developing their incremental skills in STEAM. For example: the students will learn about 3D printing after their basic engineering foundation is developed, however, they will use the 3D printing during the sessions when they learn about Engineering Design Process.

What is a module?

A module is a logical separation of the student's learning journey. All our modules are self-paced, but typically it runs from 1 to 2 weeks.

What if we miss a class?

Our mentors will cover the topics of previous class and get the students up to speed very quickly.

If you informed us 24 hrs prior to the class then it won't be considered as no show. However, failing to do so will be considered as no show and class will be deducted from total purchased sessions.

Do you have transportation from the schools?

Not yet, however, if there are 10 or more students from one school, we can arrange a school bus drop off.
